I didn't make it!
I Want A Shoulder Firing Nuc ! It Should Have Been In Bf2 From The Start !
Hmm....I did a bit of recoding for my BF2 kits and tried the M82. It's basically like a semi-auto M95, slightly less powerful, and the scope is a bit screwed up.
I think the M29 should be ingame for probably Euro Force. It looks somewhat like the F2000, it fires normal NATO rounds, with a small scope attached. It also fires 20mm rounds out of a second barrel, with laser targeting and ranging for the 20mm (the 20mm could be just a normal grenade launcher, even though that isn't realistic). Right now it is in the prototype stage as the XM29. However it is slated to replace the American M16 as their primary assault rifle by 2007 (about the time BF2's battles should be happening). So it wouldn't really be anything special, except that it might have an uber unmissable grenade launcher built in (BTW, it takes about 10 seconds for an experienced soldier to get the launcher focused on say, a window, arm it, paint it with a laser, and adjust the range until he is ready to fire. The fact that he will NEVER miss makes up for it though).
Except the Whole XM29 program was canceled a long time ago. To speed development they broke the single weapon into two different ones, the XM8 Rifle and The Xm25 25mm grenade launcher. The Xm8 was just recently canceled and the M25 is on the block as well. Regardless, the weapon as of 2004 or so was never sleighted to be a combined one because of the severe weight and size issues.
I agree with the customizing, it knew it was almost unreal in AA, but i loved having a bi pod and laser sight ( has a red dot, not crosshairs) to snipe and also be good for CQB
i recon that the PSG-1 should have been a sniper unlock
