not as much as shelling out for 2 gigs and calling it a day .... 1 gig total will help, but the biggest ( noticable ) boost i got was going from 1 gig to 2 gigs.

What he said above me, even just to 1.5 gig would make a huge difference over just 1 gig, especially for BF2.

Ok cool thanks, it should be installed within a few days, would i expect to be able to turn up my graphic settings a bit? Or is it just framerate and loading time performance?

Try upping your page file, you should be able to run it at higher settings than before, you will just have to find the limits of how much gain you achieved with a 512 increase.

for the most part ... Graphics card will help your fps. Ram is going to help in the game running and in fps. so yes, if you had 512 and a 6600 gt ( for example ) and went to a 7800 gtblah or 1900 something or other and 1 gig or ram .... You are going to see a huge difference :uhoh: .
