the read me according to bf2files.com states:"The 1.02 patch has arrived to fix the 1.01 memory leak. Download it while it's hot!
Quote: NOTE: Upon installing v1.02 you will see references to v1.01. You are not installing v1.01 but are installing v1.02 (referenced in the game browser as 2484)
Notice: You do NOT need to install the 1.01 patch first. Version 1.02 will replace any previous versions."

not really vry helpful is it, other readme's are the same s.gifs.gifs.gifs.gifs.gif

those large mega bytes are probably the entire new loading screen and such. Adding things like the new button and such probably took quite a few MBs for the new image and button placement. THats just my guess though.

======================================================================== Patch Information ======================================================================== - Patch v1.01 Fixed in issue that caused the Multiplayer Browser to become unresponsive. Fixed an issue where some game controls were not available to be rebound within the Options menu. Fixed an issue with increasing performance degradation on servers. Fixed a problem with shader caching on client/host : after the first map in a rotation, shaders would be loaded on the fly during gameplay. Fixed a crash with rebinding LMB Fixed a problem that caused environment mapping to not appear on reflective surfaces. Fixed a crash that happened when a client picks up a kit that doesn't exist anymore. Fixed a problem with AI when the game was paused for a long time: bots would become unresponsive and also shoot more accurately. LOD distances tweaked on certain objects. ------------------------------------------------------- Patch 1.02 fixes the memory leak that was present in 1.01. If there are any other changes I'm not aware of them. To me, patch 1.02 is good. The server browser is better(although reported pings look a little screwy perhaps) and it seems the game runs just a little bit smoother. And it seems extremely stable.
