I know that I am going to be buying BF2, even though I know almost for a fact that I will not like it, and it will be released incomplete/need more than 2 patches to work well. I am mainly buying it out of loyalty and respect for DICE and its work. There is just something about the simplicity of BF1942 that makes it so much fun. I feel that BF2 might be either too complicated leading to mismatches and exploits, or just too powerful to make it a game. I know I might be in the minority, but I do not like DC because the weapons are too powerful and there are to many huge mismatches as far as vehicles are concerned. I am also not too fond of close quarter city battles as well. I liked the openess of maps like El Amien and Wake. Ah well, what is your Opinion?

|PLEASE NOTE:| If your opinion contains any "1337" or negative attackes toward other posters, DICE, EA or any other party besides you, your opinion is best expressed by smashing your head onto your keyboard repeatedly until you blackout and forget simple math... |END NOTE|

I liked COD a lot. I liked COD:UO even better. Why ... because it gave me great balance between all vehicles (and troops) and it offered me huge combat areas. Now I heard BF 2 has got plenty of that and in addition to that it is build on a newer next generation engine. Allthough I don't think its graphics can equal the HL 2-engine in that department ... it does look promising. Still I would NEVER buy a game thinking I would not like it, I'm gonna inform myself and check out the competition: BIA and STALKER.

BF 1942-worshippers have always been saying too COD:UO-fanboys that it was way better ... Me I never played the first BF , there was COD and MOH, but I'm gonna find out if what they where saying is true in this new improved edition.

I will buy it, but not immediately. As stated in the the original post, I will wait for atleast the first patch to arrive. After that, it's game on! :nodding:

I'll buy it, probably as soon as it's released. I love BF so lets hope it's a good sequel.

I'll buy it after I read the reviews and then I might.

They could really persuade me to buy it on the release date if they release a demo before the game comes out.
