1. Strike At Karkand (Reminds me of Berlin only more intense) 2. Gulf Of Oman (this map is real fun and balanced) 3. Daqing Oilfields (addictive quick map) So what's your choice of fun?

Strike at karkand - I played a round on this level this week that was the most intense BF:2 fight I've ever been in. We were US and had captured all of the control points on the West Bank of the river - MEC held all the east bank posts. Troops were lined up on both sides of the river - on the US side soldiers were under the boxcars firing across the river. Medics and support class were running back and forth dropping ammo and medkits and reviving injured comrades while explosions and gunfire sounded off all over the place. Guys screaming 'Medic' - it was all incredibly intense. Can't beat it with a stick :)

I, also enjoy karkand, (Run Into Town)

The assault we were charging into was wildy intense, MEC snipers on the roof tops would fall, after they got killed by our own sniper. Their supports were firing like mad, but there was no hope, soon they were surrounded and killed, the few that were left were putting up a huge fight, but with no result, they were wounded horribly, and died with a quick THWEE, THWEE, that rushed through the silence, then a horrible to hear THWACK. The battle we first fought trying to get into the city of karkand, was no our last into taking the city stronghold for our own, was sheer horror, even now, looking back on the way we charged from, was littered with boddies. "Move up the streets! stay out of the open we're good as dead out there!" A higher ranking officer yelled at us, we heard a whistle blow in the distance back south. CHARGE!!!! Theres my tale of karkand, hope you liked it.

Dragon Valley is my favorite. A beautiful map with a great layout and a little bit of everything! I certainly will not argue that Karkand is a great map and I have played on it the most, but my pick is still Dragon Valley. If you take a look I made a thread/poll a little bit back asking people what their favorite map is and got some great responses! Cheers, :) OneTinSoldier

My Favorite Map: Dragon Valley Why: Becuase it has airplanes , helo , tanks , boats...everything in BF2 is in there. Abrams, T-90 Tank, Mobile AA for the chinesse (BEST THING EVER). Story: Last night me and my clan mates were playing Dragon Valley. I was not on USMC with them, beucase of teams. So i had to go the Red Army. That was ok. Becuase we are a fan of the Blackhawk runs, the <<1stAD>> (my clan) get our 5 guys into the blackhawk, 1 wrench always repairng, 1 medic, 1 ammo re-supply. And our best pilot flys like a bird. We hover over the flag, cap it in 5 seconds and at the next one. Now back to my story...they were doing just that, pwning scores of like 100 global. I was Red Army. So i knew where the Mobile AA was...so i spawned there. I choose to be real army style. I was Souport, put ammo bags around it. Sat between some trees, and camped it out. Ur saying WOW! what a camper. But not really, i knew they were coming..So i sat there once i got lock...bam bam bam al 5 of them mad..Screaming at me over at Vent, and i was just laughing my *** off. But they have a cobra, that comes behind it. So i wait...and then BAM BAM BAM hes down. They had no clue where i was, best thing ever. Untill snatch our <<1stAD>> leader/ cammander 4 that game arty me and that was it. I didnt choose to fly, joystick broke. So i took mobile AA into my own hands. WOW this was long, but it makes me feel good!

Yeah strike on karkand is probably the best one. But only of theres a max 40 limit and the map is 64 or 32. 16 is too small and if theres 64 players there are so many assholes everything just gets covered in crap.

I only have the demo so i have only played "Gulf of Oman". I enjoyed the map. It isnt very big and after a couple of plays it got a bit repetative but it cant fail to excite me to see what other maps Battlefield 2 will produce. I cant wait to buy it (and get the patches, to make it better!) and play the other maps. Is "Gulf of Oman" bigger on the official game or the same size as the demo? Thanks
