First, this movie is very American, I have to say that.

But thats because its basically an American Folk-legend

Second, its 2 hours and 15 minutes long but the first hour and a half is all just blabbering on, but thats my opinion. The next 30 minutes is the defenders sitting on there asses waitin to be attacked. The last 15 minutes is just the final battle, Davy Crockett's final moment, and Santa Anna's defeat.

THIS IS A GOOD MOVIE, JUST WAIT FOR IT TO GET TO A CHEAP THEATRE NEAR YOU.

and i didnt give anything away, im surprised.

im from texas and i know how the story goes. like Santa Annas 2,000 (around there) attack the alamos 200. Santa Anna did not get defeated! he wiped the alamo clear and burned the bodies of the men who fought there. I saw where they were filming it. the men actually fought for the Alamo because they wanted to keep their slaves after mexico had past a no slave act. (Texas was part of mexico) so all the men came down there cause they thought Texas was fighting for independance (well they were fighting for independance but they were also fighting for keeping their slaves) well annyways.........

Wasn't Texas part of Mexico and the Texan/Americans just move onto that land and take it away? I saw the trailers for the movie and its says like 'freedom' and crap, to me it just looks like another propoganda film about independance.
