I just made the mistake of watching Red Planet. It was almost as bad as Mission to Mars, AI, Windtalkers or The Core. But not quite.

What are your worst films ever?

I forget the name, but it was about a romanian (or something like that) family who escaped to America, but had to leave their daughter behind. It was the story of the daughter, and the whole movie was her growing up. Mind you, this girl had NO LIFE. And her parents were wicked overprotective, and the entire movie was like this. U knew exactly wat would happen next, because it was like the last hour of the movie. U may kno the movie I'm talkin about.

Vertigo28 Days Later.

it got a good review, and lots of people saw it, so what else matters.

Is that how you form opinions on films, look at the sales figures and reviews?

I would say film makers producing a good film matters. Look at The Shawshank Redemption, slated on release, did poorly in the cinema, went crazy on video. It's one of the few films that just about everyone can agree is very good, yet didn't sell that many cinema seats.

Personally I loved 28 Days Later, no one has done a decent apocalyptic zombie-style film for ages. Sure it ripped off loads of different sources (Day of the Triffids, anyone? which btw is being done by John Carpenter who has moved the story to LA...oh dear. If his past track record is anything to go by it's gonna suck big time) but then what film hasn't recently?

It got a bad review from me and many other reputable publications. As for the amount of viewers, perhaps this reasoning also states that The Phantom Menace was one of the best movies in recent history? Hmm? Judge me by my viewings, do you? I'll respect your opinion LuckyStar because that was a well-written post, but in my opinion 28 Days has a distinct lack of any good points...
