1 - New Choppers = SWEET! I wasn't excited about them but the new NVA chpper realy evens things ups and the new US chopper is a BLAST to fly. Not terribly effective against ground troops but great for going after Mi8s. I didn't do any seat swapping in the Cobra or new chopper to test that but the heat seekers do take a little more skill. 2 - 3d Map Changes. I think adding the health and ammo depot displays was a little unnecessary but it doesn't seem to interfere. The displaying of mines is TOTALLY WHAT THE ENGINEER AND VC SNIPER NEEDED!!! Can't express how much cooler it is. 3 - New maps, very fun but mostly made to take advantage of the new choppers. Superb layout though. 4 - Improve AA. It is scary being a chopper pilot now. A M60 will whittle away your armor much faster and a direct hit from a RPG or LAW is DEVASTATING (2 hits to take out a Mi8). That is all I have for right now, post your opinions of the changes here!

The netcode seems to be screwed to hell. Every server i join it throws a lag fit, and you get the occasional "LLAGG" people shouting away in the message box. I have Saphire Radeon 9800 pro and the graphics turn grainy when looking at someone or the occasional brick wall. whenever i went down a staricase it would make the air rushing by sound and your guy screaming sound and it would continue until i got into a vehicle. DICE canada's laziness is apparent throught the entire game. They didnt even bother to make a different background or use a different song during the loading screens for the new levels. It might be my biased against DICE canada but it seems they dropped the ball again and will need to release another patch soon to fix it up a bit. EDIT: New choppers are fun though, and balanced out a little bit more.

1 thing. Way too big for such a small update.. i know mods that do more changes than that patch. i mean.. the first EOD version was under 150MB or so. This includes what? 2 new choppers, jeeps without mg's. stationary Mg's.. minimapstuff and code? Otherwise.. only thing really needed for BF:V was a Cobra counter-measure (the KA-25 Hormone). The littlebird is just too silly.. dual chainguns.. maybe a little better maneuverability? Only thing useful was for the artillery in that new map. ye ye.. i guess the next patch will be 400mb ;p
If id have to give BF1942 and BF:V a 1 - 10 score (without mods) id give BF1942 8\10 and BF:V 6\10. Thats why im making a ww2 mod for BF:V ;p
ill reinstall bfv but i dont expect to be pleased by this patch.

I think BFV sucked before the patch, and personally, i think it sucks even more now.
The new patch is half good half bad. One major issue I, And many others have typed in message box, is that the NAPALM noise Will continue to go off. Others say same thing w/other noises also which i havent encountered yet. The only fix so far is to Press Esc and go to sound, which can become a major pain in the arse if the phantom is napalming like crazy. On a good note...The new map is, well..interesting to say. It doesnt really feel like its BFV anymore when i play it. Feels like a crappy mod level or something. The helis are cool and I do enjoy the attacks vs. helis much better. Much Props for fixing the tower vunerability on Flaming dart, but i would of liked to see more destroyable towers on other levels such as Hasting or Khe Shan. :rolleyes:
