i don't have any major issues with this patch except the map icons don't flash yellow anymore when a person communicates, so it is real hard to distinguish who's making requests, i.e. pickup/reinforcements etc., has anyone else noticed this? as far as seat switching goes i don't think they made it go unstable enough when you do, cause it is relatively easy to still do it.

It takes a better skilled pilot to pull it off tho, IMO. I was playing around and missed the pilot seat key and the thing roleld violently :) Other than that I was able to seat switch but you really have to be alert now. Before any noob could pull it off, and with the seekers a little more tame it is even harder. I am happy with that part.

Have not noticed the flag bug

I was in a Huey with Foxtrot last night. MiG came in, shot us up, and he died. I was riding shotgun and I gotta tell ya... the helo just starting flipping out. I was just barely able to switch into the pilot seat and touch it down to pick up a respawned Foxtrot. I really like that it was tough to do and am glad to see it's a real pain in the balls to do it in the Cobra. Yes, it CAN be done, but it isn't as easy as it once was. Thank the gods.

Oh, and to finish, after I picked up Foxtrot, we lifted off only to be kamikazied by a stolen F4. Now THAT sucked. :lol: I thought I noticed the lack of the yellow-flash on the minimap as well. I'll have to check it out again tonight.

[COLOR=Navy]Well for doing all the work for modeling on two new helo's I think its a waste to just put them on one map. Gloabally the new patch is causing a lot of LAG. Its so bad around certain buildings that the temple on Ho Chi Minh Trail has been dubbed "The Bermuda Triangle". I don't understand how DICE could delay the patch for further polishing, then release a patch that induces Lag into the game...a patch is suppose to improve the game, not take it backwards. DICE recieves an 1 out 5 stars for this patch.[/COLOR]

Well, after playing it more I have to agree about the lag. I had to drop my settings to MED to rid most of the lag. I also disabled the game/vehicle music and that helped a bit. I am sure they will be flooded with mail...another patch coming in about a month :)

*IMPORTANT UPDATE* There was a missing line in the .cfg file that will make the new heli object detail meshes not show up in BCV. This can be corrected by opening up your "BfVietnam.cfg" (located in your BCV 1.1 install directory) and placing the following line in there: OpenMODArchive=Mods\BfVietnam\Archives \texture_001.rfa Also, to fix the problem with the new stationary M60 not showing up, edit the "bcv.lst" (located in your BCV 1.1 install directory) and locate the [STATIONARY_WEAPONS] category and change the "Stationary_M60" line to the following: Stationary_M60=StandardMesh(w_mountedM60_m1) Battlecraft Vietnam 1.1 Released As has been noted by the community, previous versions of Battlecraft Vietnam (BFV) are incompatible with the BFV 1.1 Update. There have been some changes with the way that models are exported for use in BFV, and these changes are incorporated in BFV 1.1, now ready for release.

See below the list of new/fixed features for BCV 1.1

  • Fixed bug with default texture set
  • Added support for BFV terrain light map generation
  • Added support for BFV terrain light map merging
  • Added support for BFV object light map generation
  • Added new BFV patch 1.1 vehicle support

I haven'tnoticed much change mayself in single plaer maps. We need more maps in single player. I can't get the botinator to complete any maps I make, so I can't even make my own. Even tried adding toi the new conquest masp, no luck. The little things I did see in the patch were cool though
