here is a list of all the wepons and verhicles in bfv with pros and cons USA weapons M19 This .357 magnum is the sidearm of choice for the US GI. It is the most powerful revolver in the war and combines accuracy with good stopping power.

pros:good power; only revolver in game cons: not as accurate as the pistols;low ammo count 18 shots 44.jpgp.gifp.gifCAR-15 The CAR-15 is a smaller version of the M16 assault rifle, but at 30 rounds has a larger magazine than the M16. Originally built with a 10" barrel, the barrel was lengthened to 11.5" to improve performance. It is one of the weapons of choice among special ops forces.

pros: 30 shot clip 6 cips; good power cons: not as accurate as m16 car15.jpgp.gifp.gifM1 81mm Mortar Lob projectiles onto targets along a high, arcing trajectory. It takes some practice to get the aiming down, but once you do, it's a great way to hit otherwise hard-to-reach targets. Your enemy won't know what hit 'em.

pros: portable and can fine ammo unlike cannons; very powerful cons: hard to aim(for me:lookaround: ) m1mortar.jpgp.gifp.gifMossberg Shotgun When you're in for some close-range combat, the Mossberg can be your best friend. Its pump action and five-round magazine can help you clear a path through enemy troops and get out in one piece.

Pros: very powerful; can be reloaded with out loosing ammo cons:Limited ammo;limited range mossbergshotgun.jpgp.gifp.gifM16 Assault Rifle The basic weapon of the US Army soldier during Vietnam, the M16 assault rifle is lightweight with a moderate range. Its magazine holds 20 5.56mm bullets. Produced in mass quantities, the M16 is very reliable.

Pros: very powerful and accurate 6 clips cons: burns throught ammo fast m16assault.jpgp.gifp.gifM16 Sniper Rifle This weapon is simply an M16 assault rifle set to semi-auto fire and mounted with a sniper scope. This is one of several variants on the M16 rifle to appear during the Vietnam War.

Pros: 40 shots can be used with out scope effectivaly Cons: weak in sniper mode(2 head shots to kill); only semi-auto fire m16sniper.jpgp.gifp.gifM21 Sniper Rifle In its search for a versatile sniper rifle, the US Army selected the standard M14 for its ability to provide a quick second shot, then added a modern telescopic sight and made other adjustments. The result was the M21, a semi-automatic sniper rifle with a 10-round box magazine.

Pros: very powerful Cons: limited ammo (2 cips) uneffeffective out of scope mode m21sniper.jpgp.gifp.gifm60 The M60 is classified as a light machine gun, but with its 100-round belt, it can inflict heavy damage. It fires 7.62mm rounds and has been the general purpose machine gun of the US Army since 1950. It is nicknamed "the pig" for the grunting sound it makes when fired.

Pros:VERY POWERFUL; 300 shots; good anti-air Cons: strong recoil; long reload time m60.jpgp.gifp.gifGrenade This standard-issue hand grenade is effective against personnel and vehicles. Pull the pin and you've got three seconds to get some good distance between you and the grenade. Otherwise, you'll have bought yourself a quick trip to the infirmary--or worse.

Pros: good anti-tank and anti-inftantry weapon Cons: easy for tanks to avoid; if thrown to close you can kill your self usgrenade.jpgp.gifp.gifUS Mine Place these explosives at a location and then remotely detonate them, or set them up to be tripped by a passing soldier. With their large radius of damage, these explosives are not very effective against vehicles, but are extremely effective against troops on foot.

Pros: powerful against tanks and inftantry Cons: not invisble hard to activate unless ran over usmine.jpgp.gifp.gifXM148 Attach an XM148 grenade launcher to the CAR-15 and you've got one formidable weapon. With the addition of the launcher, the CAR-15 magazine holds 10 fewer rounds, but those three grenades should more than make up for the smaller clip.

Pros: assult weapon with and anti tank weapon in one Cons: No up close aim mode xm148.jpgp.gifp.gifM72 LAW Rocket Launcher The "LAW" in the name of this rocket launcher stands for "light anti-armor weapon." It is a lightweight weapon with an auto-reload feature that lets you take out enemy vehicles quickly and effectively with its 66mm fin-stabilized rocket.

Pros: powerful and accurate Cons: the rocket falls shightly

These are my oponions on these weapons. Some one else post the nva waepons and the vehicles

thats a great list, very informative and well put together, however you forgot the knife, i would have put a picture up but i dont have the skills like you Pethegreat so i will just go over the pros and cons.

Pros- excellent way to dispatch your enemy without alerting your presence to others, excellent psychological effects (everyone hates to get shanked), especially effective on snipers cause they will constantly check their six afterwards making them less effective.

Cons- no range and they never get bloody after you hack someone to pieces

yes, great work but i have some comments to add.

M19- CON: slower fire rate, longer reload time, and greater recoil than the pistol.

M16 sniper's rifle- CON: very inaccurrate with scope, least accurate of all snipers rifles.

US mine- TIP: Place under a vehical as a booby trap, will blow when vehical moves.

XM148- CON: slow reload time, after firing must reload before you can fire the Car15 (during which time you are vunerable to attack without defense)

M-91/30 Sniper Rifle (VC) and M40 (US)- PRO: Can be reloaded with out losing ammo, 20 rds CON: Has a slower rate of fire compared to the M21 and SVD, reload time depends on amount of rounds used (less = shot time / more = longer time), only 5 rds in a clip.

Also you may want to add the VC weapons and any missing or nonpictured weapons when you find the time. Over all very good job and thank you for a helpful thread.

Nva/VC weapons (not all may be included:() AK-47 Compared to the American M16, the AK-47 has a slower fire rate and is less accurate, but it has a longer range. Its magazine holds 30 rounds. Introduced by the Soviets in 1949, the AK-47 has an effective range of 350 meters and a maximum range of 800 meters. Pros: 30 shot clip Cons: not as perful a m16; not as accurate ak47.jpgp.gifp.gifAKMS The AKMS is even less accurate than the AK-47 due to its folding stock. Otherwise, it is essentially the same weapon as the AK-47. Pros: Same as ak-47 Cons: Same as ak-47 akms.jpgp.gifp.gifBouncing Betty Trigger a Bouncing Betty and you've got nowhere to hide. The mine springs up to roughly torso level and then detonates, usually killing the target immediately. Pros: Not sure(some one add this)(i dont use this at all) Cons: see above betty.jpgp.gifp.gifChicom SKS 56 This semi-automatic carbine assault rifle from China has a ten-round magazine and is simple to operate. This weapon was more popular during the early years of the war before the more compact AK-47 became widely available. Pros: high rate of fire for a semi-auto rifle; accurate Cons:N/A chicomsks56.jpgp.gifp.gifM-91/30 Sniper Rifle The M-91/30 is the oldest and least accurate of the pure sniper rifles among the various armies. A bolt-action weapon with a five-bullet magazine, the Soviets used this rifle from 1932 until they replaced it with the superior SVD sniper rifle in 1963. Pros:Powerful; dont lose round when reload Cons: long reload time usless out side out sniper mode m91sniperrifle.jpgp.gifp.gifMAT-49 Mod A powerful submachine gun with a substantial 32-round magazine, the MAT-49 Mod is somewhat cumbersome and inaccurate. Originally designed and manufactured in France as a 9x19mm model, the NVA produces their own version locally chambered for 7.62mm rounds. Pros; powerful; big 32 round clip Cons: Some what inaccurate; only 3 extra clips mat49mod.jpgp.gifp.gifNVA Mine Place these explosives at a location and then remotely detonate them, or set them up to be tripped by a passing soldier. With their large radius of damage, these explosives are not very effective against vehicles, but extremely effective against troops on foot. Pros: good for camping(: Cons: enemy has to step on it:( nvamine.jpgp.gifp.gifMortar The Type 63 mortar used by the NVA has a 610mm barrel that can hurl its 60mm projectile up to 1,530 meters. An experienced mortar gunner can get off up to 20 rounds per minute. Pros:portable;powerful Cons: hard to aim nvamortar.jpgp.gifp.gifRPD Like the M60, the RPD has a 100-round belt, but it fires fewer rounds per minute than its US counterpart. What it lacks in quantity, however, it makes up for in accuracy. This 7.62mm light machine gun uses the same M43 ammo load as the AK-47 and is the standard infantry support weapon for the NVA. Pros: Accurate; powerful anti-air Cons: low rate of fire; recoil is strong when standing rpd.jpgp.gifp.gifRPG-2 This rocket-propelled grenade launcher is smaller and less powerful than the RPG-7V, but it can still get you out of some tight situations. It fires a PG-2 high explosive rocket with an effective range of 100 meters. Pros: powerful Cons: long realod time rpg2.jpgp.gifp.gifRPG-7V Take out enemy personnel or vehicles with the rocket-propelled grenade launcher. The RPG-7V is a more modern weapon than the RPG-2 and is in wide use in the NVA. Like the M72, the RPG-7V can penetrate a foot of armor. Pros: same as rpg-2nifty scope good for long range Cons: same as rpg-2; rpg7v.jpgp.gifp.gifSA-7 Fire heat-seeking missiles at enemy planes and vehicles with this auto-reloading launcher. The SA-7 was first developed by the Soviet army in 1967. The missiles are 30 pounds each and can hit targets more than two miles away. Pros: Heat seeking Cons: 3 hots; long reload time;have to fire behind targets sa7.jpgp.gifp.gifTT33 The Tokarev TT33 is a sleek semiautomatic, single action handgun with an eight-round clip. The "33" in the name of the pistol refers to the year it was developed, but it has stood the test of time and remains a common weapon particularly among NVA officers. Pros: Accurate Cons: 6 shot cilp(18total) tt33.jpgp.gifp.gifType 53 The Type 53 is the WWII-era Communist Chinese version of a Russian-made carbine light machine gun. It holds 47 7.62mm rounds in its circular magazine. Pros: accurate; no recoil on rectile Cons: recoil is channeled vertically SVD Sniper Rifle This Soviet-made lightweight semi-automatic sniper rifle does not quite match the M21 for accuracy, but it gets the job done. It has a ten-round magazine and performs well in all conditions. The Soviets built this rifle to replace the M-91/30. Pros: powerful; high rate of fire; acurate Cons: Usless out of sniper mode .svdsniperrifle.jpg type53dpm.jpgp.gifp.gif not sure waht happened with pictueres:confused:

The Bouncing Betty would be ok if it had a wider triggering range AND they lasted longer. As it is, when I lay them down it's in an area where I'm quite sure an enemy will be in about 30-45 seconds. I have to lay down a couple so that as a soldier runs along they'll trip 2-3, otherwise they just don't seem to do enough damage.

SA-7 should be updated to say "...can hit targets more than two miles away, except in BFV." :)

Why would it be? It's mostly opinion about the weapons offered in the game - and if you look around these forums, that's all we have. Posting the pics? Bah - it's straight from their site, and most of them are in the Fan Site Kit. It's not like Pethegreat's claiming ownership of the stuff.
