I've noticed that the only air vehicle I've shot down in BFV with my RPG/LAW is a phantom which was a lot of luck. But in DC, I've shot down Blackhawks and Hinds left and right with my AT gun. Maybe its just getting used to. I think the RPG's and LAW's need a bigger splash damage because I've shot people in their general area and all the do is jump and escape with minor damage.
I agree. I always shoot the LAW at the Mi-8's but they never seem to die!!
someone said if you shoot them at a certain spot they damage easier, I think the engine. I can usually get one smokin with 2 M60 clips. If I have a partner with an M60 that thing will come down. Providing he doesn't missile us to death ;) I circle trees, boxes whatever it takes for the damn reload time, then open fire :)
Of course with the M60 patched, aiming for that engine block must be far more difficult than before...
that rectile is as big as the screen:lol:
BeeF FlaPsyeah, don't get me started on the seat switching noobs  Yeah, you can do that in real life...... and also, NO bailing from a Cobra.
:cya: Ok I am gonna try to get my point across without getting totally flamed in the process... Seatswitching is part of the game, you do it in a tank, jeep, boat, etc... so why is doing it in a cobra cheating or a n00b thing to do? Becuase you dont like to be shot? Tough! That is the game and if DICE decides it needs to be fixed then that would silence some of the b**ching but also make a lot more. As far as taking the cobra out, why? I have seen no good reason to do so. I play as NVA at least 60% of the time and get taken out alot by the cobras, sure I get mad but at the same note I also get even. Ever go cobra hunting with 2 or 3 other sa7 guys? Best feeling to have all 3 shoot it at once and see the 2 suckers bail only to get toasted when those chutes open. Just my $.02 :Pc:

Read: red eye. No need to take cobra out, just fix the seatswitching, which is retarded, and fix the heatseekers.

I agree with the need for red eye on the US. However if seatswitching is taken out just for the cobra that would not be fair, it should be done for all vehicles. Which would in itself really suck. To counter the seatswitching maybe give the SA-7 a stronger explosive, that would take a Cobra in 2-3 hits. I understand the fustration with the seatswitching but I dont think that it should be taken out, just make some other small changes that people are asking for (ie: SA-7 more power, a lock pick function so a nva needs to spend 8-10 sec before he/she can get into aircraft that also goes for US). :smokin: I use seatswitching myself sometimes with the cobra when on a map with a small amount of players or when I cannot find a gunner.
Is it just me or is the Cobra a flying tank?? With my Mig-21 I can hardly ever kill it with my main gattling gun and hitting it with the rockets is near impossible the thing is so damn skinny! And my aim is not that percise because I am too stubborn to lear how to use the mouse to fly! As with the Redey YES!YES!YES!YES!YES!YES!!!!!!!! I have been bitching about this for a while. But for some reason I feel Dice will never hear by cries:( ! The Mi-8 is the biggest whale ever!! Its only weakness is the rotor on the top and unless the thing is flying upside down its kind of hard to shoot that part of it. I have been on many Operation Game Warden servers and quite a few times me and about 4 other M-60 gunners are just unloading as much lead as we can onto the underbelly of that beast and to no avail. Even if we do start getting it smoking the other one rolls along and pretty soon we have to go and find some more ammo. A vehicle mounted Redeye is maybe the answer to this..... To be continued......
Rehashing Ender's post by saying:
Make it so seekers need to lock on. Two-three seconds is more than enough to keep people from seatswitching.
