Ensign RilesPeople, stop asking FH to port to BFV, it would be a waste of time on their part. Let the mods stay in the time period in which they are based on. FH is a realism mod for BF1942. EoD is a realism mod for BFV. Both of which WILL be in BF2. Now, why would you want FH in BFV when it could be improved upon even more with an even better engine?
BF2 isnt coming out for a like a yea+ so why wait while you can improve it already. The graphics are just so much better for BF:V and FH will benefit greatly from the new code and every thing. And just think flame throwers!!!!!!!:spank:
Wait for BF2? Mods shouldn't be played because the base games are in a different era than said mod??? WHAT?! This makes as much sense as standing underneath a tightrope walking sumo wrestler with really poor balance. The mods all discussed here have their plusses and minuses, though I have a hard time finding any minuses for FH.
FH... hmm... what can I say? This is hands down, the single best modding team I have ever seen. Not only do they constantly work (and work hard) they're devoted to making a more "realistic" game than any other mod I've played. I don't think it's what BF42 SHOULD have been (I like the arcadey feel of 1942), but this is a much better game IMHO. Plus, they listen and do their best to follow through with advice garnered from their forums. Sweet textures and great maps. EoD is awesome, though could use a little polish and then it would be as near-perfect as FH. The best thing about EoD is the mapwork. These guys know how to create an atmosphere for their era. I can't emphasize this enough... these guys know how to make maps and it shows. GC? Good work and a solid effort, but I agree. TONS (and I mean TONS) more work to do. So... don't play FH for BF:V? Don't play EoD for BF1942? Again... sumo wrestler... tightrope.... Get real. Here's to hoping all the best mods translate over to BF:V
:agreed: Amen to that
