Be honest here, will you recommend BFV to any newbie that asks "Is it worth it?" and how will say so?
im saying no... because unbeliveable full of noobs, people even kill you if they want your gun (probebly coz they dont know how to get there own), there arent that many intense battles like there are on BF1942. But there are many good points, like a good engine, PoE which i belive is sorta like DC although i havent played it, EA realised a WWII mod for it which is alright, but there pacific maps only. And it comes with an MDK and Battlecraft. But as i say, i get more enjoyment out of flying apaches (DC) rarther than hueys and id rarther play omaha beach on FH and so i play 1942 a lot more than vietnam. But if you think ur not bothered, then go ahead and buy it. But i made a mistake buying on day-of-realise, i should have got farcry insted which i only got about 2 to 3 weeks ago.
For those who remember when bf1942 started, vietnam is not much different. After a time those who do things like tk for fun, and enjoy making the game no fun for legit gamers will move on to the next game. Before the massive updates bf1942 was no where near as good as it ended up being. Three expansions, patches, pb intergration, new maps, wepons and vehicles, and many, many mods. EA games are very good at supporting there games and I belive before long BFvietnam will be as good or better then 1942. Yes I belive it is very well worth buying.:)
Hmm If they hadn't played BF1942 before I'd recommend it because it has a good game engine, graphics and play style. However, from playing BF1942 for ages, it can get a bit boring after a while and it doesn't have the large scale battles like in BF1942.
Like Scorpy said on his post, BFV doesn't have the larger scale battles like BF1942 does. But that does not deter me from playing BFV. Like I said in other posts comparing the two games, I play what I feel like playing at any given time. If I feel like playing BF1942 and it's accociated mods...then I will. However, there are times that I like playing the smaller sneak-around and hide maps that BFV has to offer. It's all about choice... I don't just limit myself to playing just one game. I play whatever game strikes my fancy at any given time. If you can only afford one game, then that makes it slightly different. Get whatever game suits your friend best. They both have their advantages and disadvantages. but to answer you question, if your friend likes the vietnam-type style of play, then I would not hesitate to recommend it.
No cause BFV is much more boring then 1942 the computers are stupid when you go in the helicopters, the commit suicide and it gets really annoying. When I'am playing Operation Flameing Dart I get in a helicopter with a computer and half way across the inlet he either gets out or just dives all the way down. LOL:cya:
i would recommend it, the game itself has alot of potential and some sweet mods are on their way to being released or released already. and on another note a simple solution to your bot and helo problem Gen. Rammel would be to fly them yourself:nodding:
BF1942 is my first love but I only play BFV now. Some one said there are no large battles in BFV. Wrong try a sever with 64 people on it I would say that it large. BF1942 had it's time and now people are getting there computers upgraded so they can play better games. So 42 players it's time to start saving money so you all can play BF2.
well i find that the battles in BF1942 are more intense, like omaha beach 1944 or charlie sector on FH, they are just cool, or arnhem, where a load of tanks come rolling across the bridge an you own all the infantry with a bren, i think it is just a lot better.
yea i think its a fun game just you have to find the right servers also if u get team speak its more fun to play with
