I'm not even sure what that was supposed to mean.

A filler for what?... A f*cking donought? I've said this once before and I'll say it again. You're gonna have fanboys for every era that the Battlefield series represents.(I'm using the term "Fanboy" very loosely, as I consider myself one, for the whole series not just one particular game) There are some who will play BF'42 because they like the older combat and the history that accompanies it. You have people who like BFV, who like the added technology and more modern flair that is associated with it.. Finally you've got the DC fans that some will likely move to BF2 when it is released. Every game in the series has it's place. When BF2 ocmes out I will be one of the first in line to pick it up as I was when BFV came out. But, it's not going to keep me from playing the others when the mood strikes.

I've agreed with you before on this Foxtrot... and I agree with you again. I still play BF1942 and I'll continue to play both that and BFV until BF2 comes out. Then (if my system is up for it), I'll be playing all three. Filler? Hardly... BFV wasn't even developed by the same team as BF1942.

And BF2 isn't being developed by the teams that made either BFV or BF1942. EA is a PRODUCER... which should be thought of as a DISTRBUTOR, people. They put up the cash so games like the BF series can be mass-produced and released to the general public (aka you and me). Developers like the DICE team don't have the financial power to handle distributing a game like any of the BF series, and EA doesn't have the resources to devote to hiring an in-house dev team. Hell even quality control nazis like LucasArts don't do half their stuff in-house.

I have not been playin online game for long(my first one was in 2001 or sometihng like that) But i have been playing games on my PC sience the 486 processor. I played Smil City 2000 and Sim lisle(i was in to sim games back then in 1995)I still have my old 486(hd is shot). I got Hl for the PC about a month ago and got into Team fortress. That game was great....

BFV was to keep intrest in the BF series untill BF2. I don't think it was nessary. BF1942 is still extremly popular with Dersert combat and FH. I actually perfer BF1942 to BFV. BF1942 seems to run smoother on my comp with less connection issues.

no ppl ..a filler so they dont loose the BF communtiy i ment now its a filler between the space of BF2 and Bf1942 BFV is being used so that ppl will still play there games then when BF2 comes out everyone will buy that ...so all those who have bfv when bf2 comes out they will most likely stop making patches and i mean look at BF1942 they have like 100,000 total converson mods even EA is makingsome of them and what have we gotten WW2 ....i played that with bf1942 i mean now BF1942 has a starwars mod and stuff. so it just makes me think that bfv wont nessisacrly loose all of its community but just like a decent amount. ok right now 3358 ppl are playing now when BF2 comes out who thinks that will be cut down by at lest half then a year will go by cut down by 1/4 im just saying basically EA could have just made BFV for a 1942 mod

Ok, BF1942 came out when? Sept. of '02. That was 2 years ago. BFV cam out when? March '04. That was 6 months ago. You've already condemned a game before it's had time to mature. I did not get BF1942 when it first came out, so I don't know how long it was before the first update came out for it. Look how long it took For BF1942 to get where it is and look how much time people had to create mods for it. Dice is not going to stop making patches for BFV when BF2 comes out because there are two different development teams working on these games. If you think that BFV is going to lose some of their community wait and see how much of the BF1942 community you're going to lose when BF2 comes out. If I'm not mistaken DC represents a lot of that community. Granted you're going to have your "core" gamers in each particular game. Some people really like the simplistic gameplay of BF1942. I know I do. I love sneaking around as a sniper and spotting enemy positions for Padre. (one of my teammates I routinely play with) I also like sneaking around in the jungle, getting a transport Huey to take me and my teammates behind enemy lines and try to cap a point. I also like flying in a Black Hawk and supporting ground troops from above. Getting into a dogfight with a Mig. What I saying here as I've said before is that BFV is just one step in the evolution of combat. It's not a filler...it's just the next step in combat, just as BF2 will be to BFV.
