one of my favorite things about this game is the hellicoptors. it takes a bit to get used to it, but once you do, you can do some SERIOUS damage to the enemy. but one of the main problems with them: ALL THE NEWBS THAT STEAL THEM!! then they get them blown up, and you have to wait... grrr. ok, anyway, yeah.. starting conversation here.

Everyone has to start somewhere man. Hell, even I started out as meerly "ok" with a sniper rifle. Now, if I can see you in my scope, you are as good as dead!

There is a simple solution, teamplay. Not coordinated attacks and all that fun stuff, but taking one for the team! If you see a newbie chopper-wrecker, shoot him full of lead and grab that bird. This may get you kicked, but hopefully the admins might understand your plight.

Better yet, just put them with something useless like a CH-47. Keep the Hueys and Cobras for the good guys.

definitely.... i have fried a few of them while they are trying to steal the chopper. they get mad and try to hold a grudge, but they get over it once they see my flying! and about the sniper thing, oh yeah, I know what you're talking about... I'm that way with Halo 2, and i was pretty close to that with BFV before I moved. God I love sniping.

This is actually my opinion on it as well. Plus there are far too many plane campers(heli campers)

Well I guess you never "stole a chopper" when you was a newb. Give them a break they gotta learn sometime. If there were no newbs this game will die a slow ugly death.

I can take out a chopper in a tank with ease!!!!!!!!!!!, normally it takes out my tank column of noob rookies, "NOOOOOOOO peterson!!!!!" "W. J Crosswing, why, why????", etc you get idea as for helecopters you can do some damage, on a serious note, when i finally do get a tank column together, and me and others group up and attack with about 4-5 tanks, we mow through the enemies like no tommorow, until an attack helecopter comes, with 1 skilled pilot it can take down a tank column!!!!

You know whats worse than "noobs" taking the choppers and planes, then crashing them? The "noobs" who wait around for them to respawn. Don't bash them if you are actually waiting for the choppers and crap to respawn. Not fair for them  if they crash the choppers, and are at least trying to do something, while you and others stand around and do nothing, waiting for your beloved aircraft, just to immediately blow up, yourself, because you can't avoid enemy fire. (This wasn't a troll post, BTW, lol)

Im a noob and I am a damn good chopper pilot, I have the hardest time getting my butt in to one because of the vets who think there is no one but them who can fly. The part that annoys me is when I do manage to get one and I cant find a gunner who doesnt just want a heli-drop when I get to engage the enemy.

Well, helo training does take time. I'm very good (you would be too if you had DC for a year and tried manuevering those things, compared to these): these choppers are like the apple pie compared with the s*it pie.

I know, I tried maneuvering a Desert Combat heli once. I will never do that again.
