Don't sniping on BF:V just rule, i mean, first of running on foot across most of map, getting in good position and snipering out of the jungle, i must say being an SVD armed NVA sniper on the level "operation harding" is great, get to the USA main base, and let all hell break loose, if you get into good position, you can snipe them as they panic searching for you, with their rifles, but all the crappy snipers seem to join USA team, while NVA sniper seem to wait in one place for a long while for that perfect shot, just listening to jungle sounds, and then hiding under tree cover as a helecopter buzzes over head searching for you, i must say its the best computer game affect ever, SNIPERS RULE!!!! 3 cheers for snipers..........................:aug: :jackson:

Sounds like someone is full of themselves  Sniping in either of the Battlefield games is pointless. They way the infantry combat system is set up means that you need to do all kinds of crap to hit something. Plus, too many damn trees in BFV, and its more fun to snipe with a regular rifle anyways. More likely to kill em with an M-14 than with the crappy sniper rifles.

Everyone has their own opinion about sniping, I like to do it every once in a while. In BF:V I found it to be 'easier' than in 1942, but that is just my opinion. I dont see it as useless when you can make 5+ of the opposing team looking for one sniper while the rest of (the snipers team) goes to cap flags. But I do agree I get more kills hitting someone from a distance with a normal rifle (AK or M-14). Why do some run right at me from 100+yards while I gun them down? Some people need to learn to use cover or be cannon fodder!

no, its to get rid of troublesome people, like holed up, M-60 armed laying down that troops cant get to, or getting rid of rocket launcher, AA gun crews as helecopters attack, i do agree that the breathing movement that was in BF1942 should return to BF:V in a future patch

Every type of soldier has it's place in both BF and BFV. Snipers play as much of an important role as everyone else in the game. Blastoid and azzeruk make good points, where if you can get a few guys to "hunt" a sniper, that leaves more options for the regular infantry to advance on a point that is now less defended than it was before the opposition ran off on a ghost chase. I know because, I've fallen victim to this tactic more times than I care to mention. We all want to get in for the kill, but... Remember it's all about the teamwork. I've saved a number of guys from getting "capped" because I was in sight of a much larger area then they were and able to direct them to points where they wouldn't be noticed by the enemy. Also, if I may gloat a little...There's nothing more satisfying then popping a round in the back of a guy who is chasing a teammate of yours in the distance and dropping him like a sack of potatoes. Just mt .02

snipings good sometimes, like on some maps, but others, they are a complete pain, especially when half the team is a sniper, but it is fun once in a while

Snipers do have their place, especially on a good team. I can remember many times where I, as a sniper, was able to stay hidden and tell my team about enemy troop movements all while popping a few in the process.

Nothing quite as annoying as being held down by a sniper, and it's about the best and least offensive scare tactic. Better to me to be at the mercy of a sniper than having my fate constantly decided by a chopper whore.
