Hi, I just got the game yesterday, and I would like some tips on flying helicopters and jets. Right now I can fly helis somewhat, but I allways end up crashing when I try to aim and shoot, it just nose dives into the ground, and jets I can fly them, but they move pretty fast, and with the fog its a bit difficult to look for targets.

PS: im using sp to train and, why is the AI to dumb, its almost a one man army when Im playing.

Flying helicopters can be very tricky at first and takes quite a bit of practice. Firstly you need to decide wether to use the mouse or keyboard (or joystick - i find this very hard). I personanly use the mouse because its easier to be smooth with than the keyboard, but this is mainly personal preference. I find that itr best to try and stay calm when and keep your flying smooth. At first don't try and shoot thing on the ground when there right underneath you get some distance and move down so you not at a vertical angle and don't go down ending up in a nose dive. A good tip for shooting at ground straight down, is to use the rudder keys, to spin around when your vertical and this should help you recover from dives or lose speed quickly for stopping. Practice hovering by flags and picking up objects as this gives you an idea how the helicopter handles. Mainly it just takes lots of practice in SP. :) Its basicly the same for planes (lots of practice) but also learning ot use the radar properly can help alot in finding targets. Using a joystick in planes makes it alot of fun and slightly eaiser but with practice the keyboard or mouse can do just as good. Hope sum of this helps. :D

3 words: practice practice practice!

Tip for bombing: Fly towards your target wityh the nose slightly angled. time your bombs and as soon as you drop them pull up fast :) And remember to use your camera views to see if enemy is on your tail ;)

As for helis, just practice. What controls you use? stick or keys?

Best way to really train is to go to Multiplayer/Create Game/Start Local. This will be a game where you're the only one around. Hastings is a great learning map because it has a little of everything.

Practice flying the Huey Gunships. They are rather forgiving.

I agree with Padre there, open up a local game and learn flying around with just yourself on the map. Get a feel for the aircraft and learn how to hover, land and manuver the aircraft. Practice on some stationary targets (tanks, jeeps, & other aircraft) Then open up a coop game and practice the same techniques under "live fire" even though they're bots, if you have the AI level up high enough, they will make it tough for you. Though like everyone else here has said...

Practice..Practice...Practice!

Don't Crash!!! hehe I would definetly recommend pratice in single player mode. Other than that, warn unwary passengers that you are a n00b, I usually enjoy riding with n00bs, giving them pointers and laughing as we crash...
