Whenever Im in a huey, I can almost never kill someone else in a helicopter before they kill me. bawl.gif I know its good to aim for the rotors... and it usually works but are there more key spots to aim on a heli to get a quick kill?

Your best bet us to just allow your co-pilot to rip the hell outta those Mi8s, just make sure your crosshair is slightly above where you expect him to be hitting - that way it's likely he'll be able to aim high enough... On the other hand, say you don't have a co-pilot (if you don't, I suggest you get one since people won't be very happy with you for taking a whole bird for yourself) - anyway yeah - IF you don't, then the weak spots are the base of the rotors, and the tail - but you'll find it harder to hit the tail obviously. Shooting at the tail/rotor with an M16 requires exactly half the ammo that shooting the rest of the heli does, or at least in my experience... So I assume it's the same with any weapon.

The best place to shoot the Helo's is in the motor. We have tested it and found that is the best spot to hit them. If you are in a dog fight with another helo... Aim for the Main RotorBlade Mast for most effective rocket strikes. Hope this helps... MoJo|Flight Instructor

Very good advice. The only thing I can add is in the Huey, remember which side of the Huey fired the last rocket, and remember to rotate slightly accordlingly, because the next shot will come from the other side. The importance of doing so relates to how close your target is. Practice Practice Practice, then practice some more.
