Nothing wrong with Ati (though, historically, a lot of games haven't been shipped with great compatibility with their cards... and yeah, I know that's changing)... Ati makes great cards. I've just always had nVidia cards for years now and have always been very happy with them. To each his/her own.

yea I know that Geforce steers there Vid Cards toward OPENGL (and its sorta old school OpenGL) instead of Direct X and ATi is a major supporter of Direct X and i know with all these new games Direct X is used also BFV uses Direct X im not say that Geforce is bad but i used Geforce for old games like Medal of Honor and counter strike and i used to say like ohh Geforce no other way but now i see how much better ATi has gotten

I have an Ati. It pwns. I can run this a med/high at 30fps at 1024x768 with my radeon 9000pro. I have had some trouble but overall ATi is great.

Actually, nVidia (which is the company, not GeForce, which is the line of cards) DOES support both OpenGL as well as DirectX. Without the use and support of both OpenGL 1.5 APIs and DirectX 9's Shader Model, their CineFX engine wouldn't work. Honestly, I think the differences between nVidia's cards and ATi's cards are so few and far between that it really boils down to preference over performance (especially more recent card comparisons). Yeah, we can get into 3DMark and UT2k3 benchmark numbers, but they're so damned close to each other that it's damn near negligible for users. IMHO, I think that notion is awesome. That puts both of these leading companies in heavy competition with each other which normally ends up in happier end-users since we then get the choice to pick what we want. If there should ever be a "winner" to the video card wars, users could end up being the losers in it without such fierce market and tech battling pushing the limits and bounds of what video cards can do. So, here's to commerce and a free market economy:

yeah i no that Nvidia is the co. but ya no now that i see that like i noticed in these charts from one of those ATi VS Nvida sites right and they say like just by a point ATi would be better in some catagorys b ut then like Nvidia would be better in OPENGL by a point so i guess there just about the same i mean ATi is also good in OpenGL but like i guess what im just trying to say is that they are basically are equal and i think its gonna be this way for a damn long time
