I have tried that exact card and its amazing. I was playing Far CRY and Doom3 with 16X Anti-Alaising at 1280x1024 and still getting in excess of 130 FPS. There are either OPEN GL games or DX games, VGA ADAPTERS ( except for a couple workstation cards -Quadro/Fire-gl ) support both.

"Ya we made this awsome game that costs $60.00 but you cant run it on a Radeon X800 ( which just happens to be ONE of the best cards out right now ) ". Sounds dumb doesnt it!

I have a XFX nvidia 5600 ultra 128ddr and it runs medium settings and 1024 by 768 no problem. The x800 is one of the best cards out there so it will run like a champ. By the way is the x800 pci express or am i thinkin of another card?

why are you even buying the card if you dont know anything about it .

everyone knows that x800 is one of the best cards right now and probably will be for at least 2 years .

good point, just make sure the card you get is compatible with your motherboard. They come in both AGP and PCI-E

An x800 pro would run this game with full AA and 16X Af at 1600x1200 at 100FPS(from the reviews i have read) Very good card. 12 piplines(the Xt has 16), 256bit standard, and 256mb of gddr3 ram standard. They go for around $350 right now but are worth it

My advice

Well yes it would run BFV fine. No one can tell you how great it will run bf2. I would say since its top of the line now, yes it would run bf2 with little problems.

However if your upgrading your gfx card just for BF2, WAIT!!!!!

By the time BF2 comes out, yes believe it or not, new and much better gfx cards will be on the market. No reason to go top of the line now for 400-500 when you can wait maybe 6 months and go top of the line then, for same cash and a better card.

All of that though Is just my opinion.

No it probably wont run it. So to be sure, I suggest you get a PCI-E card. I mean you wouldn't want to ruin the experience by not even an fps. Its BF2!
