Do a google around this name. ATI Radeon HD 4890 Many radeon video cards and prices should pop up, Then ask your Best Buy guys if they have any of what you decided on and the price of it. Order it too lol.

ATI Radeon HD 4890 is a PCI Express card, not AGP. Look:

ATI Radeon™ HD 4890 - Overview

Personally, I prefer NVIDIA. I don't live in USA, so I don't know about the prices, but if you can find something ranging from GeForce 6600 GT to GeForce 7900 GT (or GS) with AGP support, take it. Avoid GeForce 5 (also known as GeForce FX) serie. Anything above that should be fine. As far as I know, GeForce 8 and GeForce 9 series don't have AGP models, so don't bother looking for them.

My comp only takes AGP graphics cards :bawl:. My sis wants me to get an ATI or NVIDIA because those are the only ones that work with her stupid sims 3. :uhoh:

ATI and NVIDIA are currently the only companies that actually make graphic cards. All other companies (Intel, SiS, etc.) make only graphic chips that are integrated on most Motherboards. Such solutions are not good for gaming becuse games tend to exhibit various problems or not work at all on integrated solutions. Your sister is right. ATI or NVIDIA is the right way to go. :nodding:

Sims3. Minimum cards ATI Radeon x800 pro 256mb NVIDIA GeForce 6600 GT 256MB Recommanded ATI Radeon HD 4650 512MB NVIDIA GeForce 9500 GT 512MB Do a price range check on these card. I bought a ATI Radeon x800 pro 256mb for $70 near christmas time. This was 3 years ago. Then I moved to a ATI Radeon x1650 series. Cost me $120 again near christmas. Then I upgraded to a radeon x1960 series. Cost $80 on christmas. How ever, that version used a lot of juice. I would avoid this version. Now I upgraded to a ATI Radeon HD 4650 512MB. Cost $90 during december, 2 weeks away from christmas. My point is, near Christmas, things go on sale big time. Ecspecially video cards.

8800GT or 8600GT for just about anything. They are quite cheap now and can do wonders for games. The 8800GT is an excellent all rounder card, able to play pretty much anything with a good framerate. If you want better, get it's overclocked version, the 9800GT. The 8600GT is more affordable, but will still give you great performance. Also, since this card has an SLI variant, you can buy two and double your performance.

I guess you missed this:

Mr.Bouncer;4958897...so does anyone know a good AGP graphics card...

My comp only takes AGP graphics cards...

So, unless GeForce 8 and GeForce 9 generations have AGP models too, your advice is useless.
