The title basically says it, so I just start up Bf2142 and at any time at all, normally i dont get past about 2 minutes. And my computer just turns off and restarts. That's it. Note: I dont have the latest patch ( I havn't played in about a year ) but this is on singleplayer. But I've never really made it that far without my computer starting.

Your Operating System and Computer specs? That may help get your problem sorted out.

Hi, I too have the same problem. I do have the latest patch installed. I had played 2142 previously without any similar problems. In both multiplayer and singleplayer after about 2 mins - game crashes, shutting down computer and restarts. I have tried various things - updated punkbuster, turning detail down and even disabling antivirus - which is AVG 8. I run BF2, Bioshock and COD4 without any problems at all - no freeze, crash to desk top or anything. My system :- Old Now but still ok. Win XP Pro AMD 3200 xp - gigabyte m/b 2 gb ram Sapphire radeon x1950 pro AGP 160 gb hdd sony 18 x dvd writer philips cd writer. NOTHING OVER CLOCKED. Internet is Tiscrapli 8mb max - router is speedtouch 585v with latest firmware. Dont know if much else is relevant!! Hope somebody can help - this is driving me mad. Thanks in anticipation.

i had that problem about 5 months ago. you need more ram. it runs smoothly for a few weeks then you get the blue screen of death. id say double your ram. thats what i did, now i can run it on high graphics in a full 64 slot server with no problem

Hi, I already have 2 gigabytes of ram and my m/b wont support any more. Apart from that my op system is xp pro 32 bit and wont support much more than 2 gb of ram in any case. I'm led to beleive that XP 32bit can, at the most, utilise 3gb. I have run this before without any problems at all. I'm beginning to think a reformat is in order :( It seems to be since my last format, but like I say everything else runs sweetly. In addition to the above specs, my PSU is 600w.
