Well, I must admit I don´t fly as much as some of you guys probably do, but I think planes in gerneral seem rather weak in comparison to other vehicles on the Battlefield. The good side of this is that you get less plane campers (maybe because of the pilot kits also) and that you rarley get single Pilots owing a whole game which was a pretty regular experiance in vanilla BF. But then again, the new flight physics seem to make flying alot more difficult in some planes. I can understand, that big planes, such as bombers etc. turn lower etc. and I´m fine with that. But even some fighter planes like the Spitfire seem to turn like a brick, and really restricts its capabilitys. Also on a lot of maps the planes can hradly turn fast enough to stay ingame. I also don´t like the fakt, that all planes only have 1 bomb load on them. Some of you might say its realistc, but I think it sucks having to reaload after every bombing run, especially in big bombers. I think you don´t have to make it a extreme as in vanilla BF where even the Spitfires had 15 bombs, but I´d like at least big bombers to have 2 or 3 bomblaods onbaord. It would make flying alot more fun, since atm you spend most of the time flying bombing and flying back to rearm. Its very timeconsuming and often its very hard to rearm your plane, because the rearm radius is so small. So to summ it up, my suggestgens are: -revise the flightphysiks system and check the manoverbility of the fighterplanes (Spitfire on BoB for example) -At least give bomber planes more bombloadouts than 1 (maybe 2 or 3) to make bombing a less time consuming matter. -Some planes just have 1 bomb, without anything else. Nobody ever uses them so maybe you can replace them. -Maybe increase RoF of plane MGs. -I think you know about the plane spawning issue, that planes often block each other. Every plane should be able to lauch from its spawning position without anything spawing in its way...
More bombloads? Hell no. You don't think that would give airplanes a "slight" advantage over groundtroops then, since you don't even have to hit right on to destroy an enemy tank?
I do agree that flightmodels in European theatre's planes are a bit stiff, Pacific ones are ok, tho.
Machinegun damage against planes is waaay too low, especially when talking about 20mm cannons. They should shred the plane in pieces in one burst or so. I usually have time to lower my altitude to sea level and bail out without killing myself until the plane catches fire and engine stops moving, not to mention when im using the pilot class.
In my opinion a long burst should be enough to drop a fighter plane, as it was in real life too, looking at WW2 dogfight footage. Bombers are great tho. I've actually been shot down by the rear gunner a few times. They must not be changed, they are perfect as they are.
I agree that big multi-engine bombers should have 2-3 bomb loads on them, but other than that the current system is fine. Fighters suddenly getting a new bomb under their belly was a major annoyance. And yes, the plane machinegun and cannon damage should really be increased. Being a flight sim fan it really takes the fun out of aerial combat when you have to chase your enemy around the map to get a kill. To balance out the more effective weapons (and to make it more realistic too) hitting should be made harder. One or two well-aimed bursts should destroy or seriously disable a fighter, but it'd take some skill to get those bursts in the target. If you have ever player IL-2 Forgotten Battles, for instance, you should know what I'm talking about.

I'm fine with the bomber bomb loads. Please note that not all bombs are the same. The size determines the splash radius.
All bombers have realistic loads, as they should. Bombers didnt "reload" a second payload for dropping. You do your bombing run, then go back and reload. If you cant get signifigant kills with a bomber, you probly shouldnt be using it. Dont drop all of your bombs on a single infantryman, and those 4-8 bombs will last you for a few min, and youl get 1 or 2 kills with each of them if you know what your doing.
The speed and turning ability of the planes should be determined by the atmosphere. Thats all I have to say. Thats the only way we will see to realism. Problem now being is that we cant gain 1000 feet altitude without not seeing the ground because of the fog, so dive bombings result in Kamikaze runs. Heres what has to be done... -Decrease speed. -Increase turning ability. Or. -Raise cealing twice. -Remove Fog.

Who the fuck do you think you are ? Do you think your voice counts more as anyone elses here ? Obviusly this Mod has to comprimise between realism and game-play since this is a game ! I´m no specialist, but I bet some realistc features were tweaked or sacrificed for the benifit of game-play...:fistpunch:

The only thing that needs changing in my opinion, is the amount of damadge the plane do. It's way too little now.
