I love what's been done with mines - making them less lethal against tanks.

What I'd like to see is mines disabling tanks. At the moment tanks just roll over (if they're at max strenght), pop them, and then keep on trucking.

BUT, if a mine were to bust the tracks on the tank that'd turn it into nothing more than a stationary gun emplacement until the ubiquitous engineer came along and repaired the tank.

This has the advantage of making mines more tactical - put them at bottlenecks and hope the armour bottlenecks itself, as well as making vehicles like Mine-flayers useful (they would be anyway... but who wants a disabled tank?).

Slightly more realistic, and fun. :D

Don't think you can do that without SDK. Not well, anyway.

Before it explodes you can't move the tank so maybe you could set the level higher for the engin to stop.

I think that mines disabling tanks sounds like a good idea. a realistic idea.

sounds like a fantastic idea. especially idea of repairing them with an engineer rather than just to rot there for the rest of the round as a stationary gun emplacement. wot u think dev team?

If tanks could have a disabled state without automaticly exploding ( only for some weapons) it would be more realistic.

Exept mines i am thinking about AT rifles, or bazooka type weapons that hit on the tracks.

Having AT rifles and bazooka weapons doing it to would be a logical step (that didn't occur to me when I was thinking about mines :D )
