Well I have no clue if anyone else thought if this but a pearl harbor map? The basic idea is have battlehips in harbor imobile as well as a few destoryers, and the japanese goal is to destroy them, and the radar station on a hill. (ther was one) There would be a few japanese carries with planes and a japanese submarine (there wer japanese submarines in the attack) The japanese would also get a few destroyers as escorts. The game would be mostly air for if the japaneese destroyers are forced to stay near the carries to prevent the US destroyers from killing them, and the US destroyers have to find the japanese sub. The americians will have an airfield with fighter planes and maybe a bomber plane.

What everything should work for the battleships guns except the egines. Will be an interresting map if done correctly.

Would be good timing, too. Today is 62 years since Pearl Harbor.

there is a BF42 map that uses terragen and digital evelations for topo's so it's accurate. Just ask the maker for permission to convert it.

nope, I rarely make maps, I do make a few for other games but the way to make them is given in the game, so I am not a real map maker. If I could make this map, I so would.

It also is the belated(by two days) 62nd anniversary of the Moscow counterattack against Hoths Panzer Group.

Just asking so I would know where to start that's all. You can get DEM'S (digital elevation maps) that are made from satellite scans, load them into Terragen (software), to generate a topology map (which is the elevations and terrain) convert this into a .RAW file and presto, you have an you have an incredibly accurate heightmap for battlecraft which is used to make maps for BF42.

Don't think many people do this, but it can be done. I'm working on Kasserine pass now. There is a BF42 map of Pearl Harbor made by a guy that uses this method as well, so the map would be very accurate.
