I don't know if it's realistic or not, but it's a bit annoying...
If you've ever played IL2 sturmovik you'd know both cannons and MG's cause shaking, but the cannons are much worse...

Eeeuuh LIGHTNING , thats a game also.
They can code whatever they want.
Having fired a 50.cal I can tell you this baby has a serious kick.
Ever seen a quadrupple 50.cal mount firing ? Now thats awesome. We weren't allowed though in real life , this little toy was reserved for the gunnery sergeant , only had simulator runs on it .
yeah, but it's not a game like battlefield 1942, IL2 is 99% realism!
Would be seriously nice if that shake effect was around tanks. Just gotta think of that bit in Saving Private Ryan... (and yes I know that's a film :p )
I agree with that shaking effect near tanks... and tanks DO need to be a bit more beefy in the localised effects. Make those AT soldiers TRUELY scared to get near them :D

I have to agree,Il2 is realism from the outset where are BF1942 and FH are arcade, theres no escaping it.
Besides the P47 in Il2 FB does shake at all when you fire the .50's. The only gun that shakes are the 37mm guns and that huge cannon you have.
