It would be a nice addition if Axis melee weaponry gets a new lineup.

Like spades for the Germans and wakizashis (short swords) for the Japanese. This maybe sounds like a joke, but those were really used by them as melee weapons.

Yeah, thats a point. When i was a member in the german army, we still learned to use our spade as the last possibility to fight the enemy in an one-on-one. And in the WorldWars this very often was used...

A spade hit in your face is much more effective than a gunhit from two metre distance!

Not only that, but the spade´s edge are also sharp almost like a hatchet. "Klappspaten frei" was the command used by the Wehrmacht when it came to melee combat.
