Matt174e is absolutely correct with what he claims.....

And the posters who claim to see a difference between 90 FPS and 30 FPS....they don't !

Listen before flaming......what you do see is the difference between 90 FPS and 30 FPS because it fluctuates all the time !!! You are not looking at continuous 90 FPS, a fraction of a second later it is is 60 FPS....then 70 FPS .....and so on.

If you would have continous FPS that does not fluctuate all the time it would be less straining on your eyes and brain, and the sensation would be that of smootheness. At continuous 30 FPS you will have alot easier ride then a wild fluctuating 90 FPS.

I have top hardware myself too, but i am not so brainwashed by the commercial slogans of the card manufacturers i believe all their bullshit about more FPS being better. Actually a better card will fluctuate less, but only because it is more powerfull, wich is negated by even more demanding new games.

Believe me, fluctuating FPS is what you dont want. I don't like the idea of 30 FPS neither, it better had been more, but a continuous FPS is better then a fluctuating 150 FPS !!

But to the second part of the claim of matt174e : Even with my top stuff ( way faster then the guy with the pics ) FH will stutter if i make a sudden turn or move in some situations. If that would be prevented with that setting it would be a major improvement.

"human eye can't see above 31fps anyway, so locking at 30 woudln't really hurt anything"

This isn't true, I have had my vision response tested, I can see up to 80 fps :P

i thought the most the average person can discern between is 60fps, which is why consoles generally keep games around that range

Guys, this is awesome. I am using this for every game/mod I play.

Played on a french server, 8 timezones away, on basrah's edge, and hardly lagged.

Played on a 64 player El alamein day 1, it was actually playable.

I usually fluctuate alot around 10-20, but now I get 30 a lot of the time... Its just so much better... I really do recommend you all try it.

It doesn't fix lag, it doesnt create lag...

It fixes the studdering from your video card, it shouldn't make it worse by any means.
