I was playing FH and I enter in the b-17, and I saw he has only 8 bombs but they in the real life the have more , i like know if you, FH Team , will put more bombs in the B-17? And I was see the b-17 haven't a bomber , if the b-17 have a bomber the people will not go to get they and go alone (forgive my incorrect English).

I think that you should be able to drop more bombs, add some armor to the B17 and increase the power of its machine guns (a little not too much).

It should drop about 50 bombs but they should all fall when you right click once. And also the side and rear mgs dont work.

50 eh ?

I did a search and found other values. Not only the weight but their size was important and the range where they needed to be deleivered, how many could be carried. The more distant the target, the more fuel weight and less bombload weight......not exactly rocket science eh ?

But almost all B17 carried maximum 6000 lbs bombload.

6x1,000lb bombs or 24x100lb bombs or 10x100lb bombs + 6x500lb bombs

For short range ground support mission B17 :

The maximum bombload of the first B-17Fs was 9600 pounds, but the range over which such loads could be carried was quite short. On typical missions the load was 4000-5000 pounds over operating ranges of 1400 miles. Beyond these distances, the bombload fell off quite rapidly Beginning with B-17F-30-BO, B-17F-20-DL, and B-17F-20-VE, external bomb racks were fitted under the inner wings for the carriage of two 4000-pounds bombs. This brought the maximum short-range bombload to 17,600 pounds. Under certain conditions, eight 1600-pound bombs could be carried internally and two 4000-pound bombs externally, raising the total load to 20,800 pounds. However, with such a load the effective range was quite small and all maneuvers were severely restricted. Consequently, external bombs were only rarely carried by the B-17F. Although all subsequent models had lugs and controls for their attachment, the underwing racks were not installed at the factory.

I have no clue if the bombload could be interupted. I do know if possible not many did. They wanted to drop that load and get the hell out of the FLAK and enemy fighter territory, and return home safe.

That fall and fall at once idea is terrible, it doesn't even make sense. By the way...all FH bombers have way too few bombs. I find that bombers are not nearly as decisive as they are in vanilla BF, but I hope that will change.

Of course the additional mgs work, you only just can't see the muzzle flashes. The B17 carries 8x 1000pdr...

What planes have way too little bombs? I think most are correct.

train landing and rearming, and the bombload doesn't play such a desicive factor...since you can easily kill a tank with one bomb.

With 6 x 1000 lbs the FH B17 is historically correct. The typical B17 carried 6000 lbs bombload.

If you want more bombs, they must be smaller and will be way less effective. Do you want almost all tanks to escape only light damaged and less area effect so less infantry will die from reduced blast effect ?

With more but lighter bombs you will hit more, but kill less......those are the consequenses......

There are Bombers with a higher load. Like the Halifax.
