Augustus(...) The best way to make terrain textures is to outline what you want to make in a 3d editor (as you have already done) and then find the following tools: *Madbulls .dds to .TGA converter *Madbulls TGA Merger ^ these tools, when used in THAT ORDER will merge all of the terrain texture segments into one large (200MB) TGA image, so you can open it in Adobe Photoshop and paint nice roads and add variation. I use editor42 for texturing (as you might have read), i think it is good enough to do the jub it might even be better then texturing in photshop. Tell me what is betterabout texturing in photoshop. I might use it to add very small 100% straight lines, it might be usefull at some time but not yet, i willl complete the texturing in ed42 and then check if it needs even more detail. thanks for you advice/hint though. ow and I indeed posted all my details, screenies etc. in 1 single threath to keepthe boards as possible and give the people who browse this thread the option to read comments posted earlier to prevent comments or questions to be asked over and over again. I know that some people think I'm a whining 6 year old dork who spams the forums with his map, but i'm not i just try to make my map as good as possible and I need feedback/hints etc. for that. But I'm sure most people understand that. I also try to make as few posts as neccery here ( i try to only post for a news update and to answer on qeustions). EDIT: ATM (since about less then 1 week) I have found a soulmate-on the arnhem map that is- ( well he found me) he is also very intrested in Arnhem. He can model and skin so he offered to do some modeling and skinning for me. This will mean even better quality for my map!

I experimented with different detail.dds, Which texture do you prefer?: screenshot # 1: attachment.php?attachmentid=4154&stc=1 screenshot # 2: attachment.php?attachmentid=4155&stc=1 Sorry i'm in a bit of a hurry ATM (damn work), please tell me why your prefer one, thanks in advance.

IMO the 2nd one looks alot better, on pavement, which your map has a lot of; and on grass it looks alright.
