Is it really effective? I couldn't explode a tank with it yet ... Is there any kind of tank that this does not hurt? Any additional info?
They work...but you need to use a bunch of them (and team-work usually).
It takes 4 or 5 of them to take out a sherman.
Theyr better for killing trucks and lightly armored vehicals.
They're pretty good imo.
i like them they are funny
They´re weak but somehow easier to use than any other AT weapon (at least it seems that way).
As a fact, it's impossible to destroy a sherman sitting on a repair pad with them. You need like 5 guys firing at it simultaneusly.
Try firing it at the top of the tank, as usual. Nothing gets Sherman-drivers more frustrated than a copule of AT grenades at his engine compartment. And they tend to blow up too.
I've gotten a Sherman flaming, if not actually blown it up. Actually, maybe I blew one up, but I think it was already damaged. They work pretty well actually. They fly just like regular rifle grenades, so chances are you already know how to lead with them and such.
Two other things to bear in mind:
1.) Don't waste your time firing at the forward hull or turret. You'll probably run through all your grenades (assuming you survive long enough) and will only somewhat damage the tank. Fire at the side, rear, or best off, top of the tank.
2.) Keep in mind your angle of attack. FH's new angle damage system is screwy. Try to be as perpendicular to your target as possible. You want maximum armor penetration.
I take what n0e says way too seriously
