Fact: MG34/42 use the 7.92mm bullet.

Fact: 7.92mm can penetrate 5mm of steel @ 100m.

Fact: The GMC M3A1 has, at its weakest point, 6mm of armor (.62cm).

Why do 7.92 bullets, when fired from an MG34/42, DAMAGE and DESTROY an M3A1 in FH?

That's just silly.

Not to mention we're giving ANOTHER anti-armor weapon to the Axis.

Doesn't penetration also depend on the weapon from which the bullet was fired?

multiple bullets hitting (around) the same spot will definitely puncture it

The FHs MG34/42 use a rather rare kind of bullet(like 5% compared to other ammo used by MG), I forget what it is called. Why they used this bullet is beyond me, Hartmann's decision I believe.

Well i think it is a bad decision since there is no effective way to carry infantry on the battlefield.

KillorLiveMachine is right, that's retarded. And no, hitting the same spot over and over again would work, but machine guns don't exactly hit the same spot over and over again. It's still retarded. The MG34/42 shouldn't damage an M3A1...but the Ma Deuce on the M3A1 should damage anything in its class.

It is the type of ammo it has, so it could damage it. The devs choice to use this type of ammo was a bad decision and I am not sure why they did in the first place.

KillorLiveWhat kind of ammo? Let's see the velocity/bullet weight. Then you can judge for yourself whether it penetrates or not.

That is the problem I forget which kind of ammo they said it was, but it was quite rare and shouldn't be in the mod in the first place.
