Hey guys, with HL2 on the way I decided to learn how to skin in Max 5. With my first try being so/so I decided to skin an Ak47.... It took me 2 days with an hour here and there and I am happy with its end result. So here it is:

Oh and any feedback is appreciated :D.

I used to try to skin, and man it is hard. Well for me it is anyways. That is really good for a second attempt. Id say it looks like you have talent, but then again I dont know much.

The Grip is not round enough, in my opinion. But Skin 's fine.

good skin, bad model.

With HL2 coming I have decided I should learn how to model with 3dsMax 5, but I'm having trouble finding the right tutorials for absolute n00bs. Can anyone give me some good tutorials?

for anything involving 3d models, you should check out lobo's site http://www.bf42.cjb.net/ . It has more tutorials than a monkey's bare ass uncle.
