Hello all im Germanaz, im trying to make a map called Eindhoven right now and i have a question, well first of all im using BC42, is Vanilla BF1942 the only thing i can use to make my map? or can i make it using a mod, or RTR, i dont know how to make it with something besides regular BF1942, so if you know how plz help me :)

:agreed yea, I know there must be a way to import objects into the map makers such as BC42. I just dont know how.

there is object files you can download for desert combat .35 but the one for .38 hasnt come out yet go to a battlecraft42 forum you should find your answer there

its very easy.

open the file bf1942.lst located in the battlecraft folder, into notepad or wordpad.

You will see a list of objects, so make sure you add it in under the approproate category.

Now you must get the exact name of the object you want to add from objects.rfa

So say i would like to add the Sdkfz222 from FH, to the objects list. Id look in objects .rfa under vehicles/land, and see that its there as exactly "Sdkfz222".

Now go back in notepad at the list, and scroll down to Vehicles_Land section. Add it to the very last line like so.

Copy the line above, but in the 2 spots where it says vehicle name change it to the vehicle you want, in my case the Sdkfz 222.

Sdkfz222=StandardMesh(Sdkfz222)

Save it, reload battlecraft, and there it is.

Note if you do place an object thats not in regular bf1942 in ur map, remeber it wont work in bf1942, so going test map will just crash on loading.

So make sure you have it said up to save to the correct mod path.

i dont think it crashes, it just puts an AA gun there.... well at least thats what it does for me

i did exactly what he said and all that happens is i can place it in the editor and load the map but nothing appears heres what the lst file looks like can anyone help

Im mapping myself and all i can say is that BC is really crappy in the current status.

Better use Editor 42 V0.3 (for the basic terrain + textures) and Madbulls Heightmap editor V1.2 for the fine adjustments

just for the record Eindhoven was liberated without resitance (butthen the allied convoys were bombed during the night, because they had no anti-air support (I know, I used to live there)

errrr lol, damn i could try to make Nuenen or something...., but that would copy Band of Brothers. hmmmm what could i do... maybe a better type of ardennes map? but trees make lag in this game... crap. what to do what to do
