Have to ring the bell about this subject a little louder, so more people can discuss about it :

July 7, 1940 specifications of jeep are given to competing production companies.

July 1941 US war department contracts Willys and Ford to produce one model for mass production.

Late 1941/begin 1942 Jeeps start being delivered to the army.

Conclusion : There can be no Jeeps in Battle of Brittain, Crete or any other map before 1942 for the Brittish/Allies !!

The US M2/M3 halftracks ( APC ) where produced in small numbers in 1941, but only reached mass production in 1942 and after.

Conclusion : It is highly unlikely US allies were equipped on a large scale with US M2/M3 halftracks before 1942.

That means that a lot of FH maps have to receive a replacement for allied jeeps and APC for all maps before 1942 !!!

I have no clue.....i only concluded that US jeeps and M2/M3 halftracks did not exist in Brittish service before 1942, but in bf1942/FH maps before 1942 they are used by the Brittish, wich is ofcourse then wrong.

Just as wrong as Stg44 as a standard german assault rifle in all maps, also a DICE feature but changed in FH.

I guess before 1942 the brittish used their own designs, or military versions of civillian cars and trucks.

Removing jeeps would have violent consequences, especially on Crete.

I'm not sure they had mopeds in 1940.

Didn't they rely on trucks as transport before and after the introduction of the jeep anyway? 0.6 will have trucks, so that should work.

Yep, but driving US jeeps and M2/M3 Halftracks on Crete 1941 is the same situation as using fictional/not yet developed experimental vehicles in bf1942 SW....

Im sure the brittish had some cars or trucks with similar fuction, only not as good, and probably as said before rather military versions of civilian cars or trucks.

I see many posters do not take this subject very seriously....why do you play FH instead of bf1942 ??
