Since most people here mess up the Stuka´s bomb load pretty much here are the real specs:

Ju-87 Version A had one 551lb./250kg (or a 1,102 lb./500kg if no rear gunner was carried).

Ju-87B version had one 1,102 lb./500kg and 4 x 110 lb./50 kg bombs, 2 on each wing.

Ju-87C version same like B without the wing bombs. It had folding wings for naval purposes (carrier "Graf Zeppelin" was planned).

Ju-87D version had one 3,968 lb./1800kg

Ju-87G version had 2 flak 43 with 6 rounds each (but no machine cannons) and could carry one more 1,102 lb., altough not used on G.

And AFAIK this is not the actual bomb weight, but the amount of TNT inside. So a 50 kg bomb could also kill a tank if dropped at top.

The 1800 kg is a dam breaker. In game it should have a shockwave radius like the blast of scud launcher in Desert combat. You should be able to kill almost a whole base with it.

So please do me a favour and leave out this talking about 1000lb bombs, 1000kg bombs or even 3x500kg since no Stuka was ever equipped with such!

The B and D version in IL2 Sturmovik also use 2x 250kg and 1x 500kg. I don't think they made that up. Why wouldn't there be a 1000kg bomb?

There was a 1000 kg bombm lsot the source though, but maybe 2 or 3 smaller bombs would be more useful?

Personally, I think the 500kg bombs are the best there are in FH. Whichever plane they are strapped onto tends to dominate enemy armor like nothing else. I would rather have 1 500kg bomb than 4 x 250s or 1 x1000 any day. The 1000kg is just overkill, and it tends to kill the pilot as often as the target. I wish they could implement a fuse delay or something, cause it is simply not safe to divebomb with a Stuka and a 1000kg puppy.

I've never had any problems with it, you need to divebomb with it though.

I blow myself up on Crete with the 1000kg bomb on a regular basis. On one game were there was only 8 of us, I did it 5 times in a row.

I killed myself once with the 1000kg bomb, because it hit a tree near me. Never when the bomb hit the ground though.
