It should not need so much memory, but the sodding game loads up all BF vanilla stuff first, kicks it out *then* loads FH's own. Silly sod way of running mods. Hopefully BFv will have improved in this area.

My loading times are always 1,5 to 2 min, whatever the map is. Before I got 512MB more RAM and a new 7200RPM HD they used to be 7 to 15 min! And my FPS got almost doubled with 0.6, they used to be under 20, now they even reach 60, and I had 0.6 on 1024x768x32 and high settings till I played Atlantic and had to change back to 800x600x32. Specs: Duron 1300MHz 768MB SDRAM PC-100 Radeon 7500LE 64MB DDR Win2000

More RAM is best 512M is a minimum (I was running with 256M and that upgrade was well worth it); always get as fast RAM as possible... Defrag your BF1942 partition. Do not run games as Administrator - PowerUser or less run less services. All I can say as .6 is _still_ downloading :(

Maybe I should test playing FH without administrator rights... But on the other side I would have to log out to do the daily defragmentation, and as 0.6 runs fine at the moment I prefer to change nothing.

statement from arminace: 1. ur virtual memory should be at least 2048megs 2. dont play fh with less than 512megs of ram 3. defrag ur hd and everything should run perfectly ;) i did it, reload times decreased enormous :)
