The game (same in BF:V and BF:2142 demo) crashes after some minutes (5-30) ingame to desktop. no error box appears. the game just crashes. Dunno what might be the problem, the game runs smooth

Specs: Intel Core Duo E6600, 1gb Ram, Gigabyte 965P-DS3, ATI Radeo X1900 XTX 512mb, Sound onboard. Win XP Sp2 Drivers are up to date

I have the same problem. This issue is usually related to RAM. I turned down my DDR400 ram to 133mhz and all the lowest timings(CAS 3, etc.) and it runs the game for a little longer(10-15mins) but still inevitably crashes to the desktop without warning. I haven't tried taking the RAM out of Dual Channel mode. Will reply when done.

For the record:

Athlon64 3200mhz AsRock Dual 939 motherboard some generic Dual Channel RAM (ftl) Saphire X850 GTO Fireblade w/ Saphire CD drivers WinXP Pro SP1 ~nothing overclocked~

I had the exact same problem today with bf2142. I fixed this by turning off VOIP (Voice Over IP) in options. Hopes this fixes your problem!
