ok here's the thing. some file got deleted out of BF1942 directory (i dont know how) and now: the PC wont let me uninstall so i cant reinstall i tried systemrecovery which resulted in a loss of FH also!!!!:bawl: now im stuck with BF2... what do i do please dont tell me to format, i just did that and i lost all my documents, not in the mood to do it again, got some precious band files on here...

do a search on Battle field 1942 and all the folders that come up just delete them this may or may not work

You need to delete the registry keys for BF1942 as well as all the game folders before re-installing.

i did that also but punkbister is nowhere to be found and thanks to that the installation gets jammed up...

that would just make the game less work and still be registered installed in the system, i have to do it like apocalypse kid said, the only problem is that i cant find punkbuster in it .Is there another name for it? or perhaps developer name...

Delete everything BF1942 related then get a program called reg cleaner(google it), then get rid of anything to do with BF1942. everything you install/uninstall leaved behind registry entries on your pc. Try this is you havent already.
