I just installed 2 sticks of PC3200 ddr ram. Now, BF1942, BFV, and everything else lags, but I have more fps. I used to use PC2100, so why is my performance getting worse?
well how much ram did you used to have and how much do you have now, also, what power supply do you have because before you could have been just under the power consumption of the maximum your power supply can take, and then when you upgrade you go over the maximum consumption causing a huge rise in temperature, lag and reduction in frames per second
Well, I had 768mb of PC2100, now I have 512mb of PC3200. I'm about to buy a 400 watt (or 500 watt I don't remember) powersupply from my friend, and now I have a 200 watt powersupply.
make sure that Anti-Aliasing and/or Antisoptic Filtering are off

Is it? You have more FPS, which indcates your performance is better, but you claim it lags, in what way does it lag?
BF will play noticably better with 768Mb mem compared to 512Mb of mem, perhaps it's just that, or it may be that you have a problem with FSB and memory matching. Running PC3200 (DDR400) at top speed using a CPU that is designed for a fsb speed of 333 (or PC2700 memory) where the motherboard allows the FSB and Memory speed settings to be set seperately, can cause performance problems.
It would be useful if we had more information about your motheboard and CPU, could you post your Dxdiag output for us to have look at please.
Ok, here is my Dxdiag (System Information section) Tell me if you need anymore Dxdiag stuff.
Sorry but need the lot, just select "save all information" at the bottom of the first Dxdiag page and post that here thanks.
