I was just wondering if having a higher refresh rate will slow down gameplay down at all??? perhaps a noob question but i am running mu iiyama 21inch monitor at 120hz

I done the allowrefreshrates 1 in videodefault.con and play the game at 120hz....

so does it slow gameplay down by having it this high???

thanks

Its whatever your monitor can handle. DOnt know if it slows gameplay or not. I have a 21" monitor and it can go to 240Hz but i tend to keep it at 85 so it wont overheat and possibily damage it. Forgot one thing my monitor keeps me warm in the winter.

I have a Samsung SyncMaster 955DF.....it's a 19" Flatscreen Monitor....I was playing BF at 1280X1024 resolution with refresh rat of 150Mhz.......the gameplay was smoother and the mouse was smoother too and faster.......but then I set it back to the recommended timing of the monitor which is 75Mhz at 1280X1024......becuase I quess the higher u put the refresh rate.....the quicker the monitor will burn out......and I don't want to loose this monitor.....you can try it....to see the difference.......good luck.....
