What sound card do you have, or is it built-on? If its built-on then what is the Make of the PC? Dell?

Which version of Windows? Windows ME? or WindowsXP? or WinXP MCE? or WinXP64 RC1?

Which version of the Game/Patch?

Try these drivers.

Do you get sound at all? In Windows Media Player? Other Games?

I can get sound in every other program. Actually i just re-installed command and conquer generals and thats doing the same thing. But, media lpayer and stuff like that is fine!

Seems like every other game i re-install after bf1942 sound stopped working has the same problem! Just a thought.
