I just re-installed my Battlefield 1942 game and tried playing it...i had major issues. The beginning start menu had white borders, and no bar levels or spaces for font or level adjusting (volume, texture, sound, name, mouse sensitivity etc.). During the game, i didn't have any crosshairs either. Tell me please, is this just because i have a high end computer and the game is outdated??
These are my specs:

Do i need to install the v158.18 Windows Vista (32-bit or 64-bit) ForceWare driver on the nvidia website?? (My computer says im already updated though)
You haven't supplied enough info, what video card are you using?
BF2 And EA/Dice=We Loose
2nd January 2007
try updating your video card 1st, it also might be a vista problem.
Driver: NVIDIA GeForce7900 GS Driver Version: 220.127.116.1146
bluebloodsm07;3693859Driver: NVIDIA GeForce7900 GS Driver Version: 18.104.22.16846
I though that driver version (97.46) was for XP, you should be using the forceware 158 release from here;
Can you confirm that you actually have the Vista drivers and not the XP drivers?
I ran the Windows Vista Upgrade Advisor recently and this was on my errors/issues:
"NVIDIA GeForce 7900 GS NVIDIA" There is no compatibility data available for this device Also, how would i confirm that whether i have vista or XP drivers?

You download the Vista drivers from Nvidia and install those, the driver version number you are quoting is a XP driver version number.
