Okay, I'm needing some help with basic modding, hopefully this isn't a COMPLETE n00b moment... I'm pretty experienced when it comes to recoding the AI for Battlefield 1942 and Battlefield Vietnam, so I took a shot at recoding the AI for BF2, specifically for the Hard Justice mod, just the basic stuff in the Objects_client archive. The problem is that Hard Justice doesn't have any AI files in their Objects_client archive, so I figured everything was based on the stock BF2 Objects_client AI files. Well, it would've taken a crapload of time to strip out the AI files from the stock archive and place them in the Hard Justice version one by one, so I extracted the stock files, then extracted the Hard Justice files and overlaid them on the stock files, made my AI changes and recompressed the archive. However, when I try to load a map with the recoded archive, I get a CTD. What's the problem? Do I need to recompress with some specific setting or program? Or is doing the deal via overlay the dealbreaker? Am I seriously going to HAVE to manually place only the AI files?
Im not an expert on modding, especially when it comes to BF2, but it sounds like you will have to manually place only the AI files, but again im no expert on it so maybe u don't EDIT: do u know where i can get your intensity mod for FH 0.7? i can't find it at filefront or anywhere else for that matter, if not o well, i really hope u can get around the AI problem for BF2 because the BF public needs good SP modders like u
The AI files are in the AI folder
I think he is asking about how to change the way the AI interact with the objects in the game/mod which would be different from the AI in the AI folder which i assume would govern the way they act and not stuff like pathing. No expert here it just seems like that is the logical way BF2 would of been set up.
You can find the Intensity mod here :Battlefield SinglePlayer - Website
