Don't use the freaking mod editor for such small tweaks. WASTE OF TIME AND FRUSTRATIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1 Here's what you do: If you have the 1.0 version, locate the "Objects_server.zip" file in the "mods/bf2" folder. If you have the 1.12 or higher version, locate "Objects_client.zip" in the same directory. Then copy and paste that into your desktop, or a seperate folder whatever, and extract the two folders, "kits" and "weapons" (use weapons folder to know exactly what weapon name to put in). Open "kits" and then locate/open the "us" folder (kinda speaks for it's self). Then you will see each of the different classes and two extra files called "us_kits" and "us_common" LEAVE THOSE ALLONE. Now right click on the kit you wan't to edit and sellect "properties", find the checkbox called "Read Only" and uncheck it. Then open the file in wordpad, and locate the lines "rem -------------------------------------". Anything in-between those lines are the items in the kit. The last section of code ("USRIF_M203" for example) is the item name from the "weapons" folder. All you have to do is change that section of code to whatever you want from the "weapons" and save it. Then just zip it up into the "Objects_server/client" and then make a backup of the original (just in case you screw up) and paste the modded one back into the mods/bf2 folder and you are ready to play. No more learning all of the complicated extraction and compacting, and mod packing programs, just good old straight forward script. ONLY USE THE MOD TOOLS FOR LARGE MODIFICATIONS THAT INCLUDE MODDELING OR NEW MAPS/GAMETYPES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THIS PROCEDURE MAY SEEM LONG, BUT IT IS FASTER ONCE YOU ACTUALLY DO IT!!!!!!!!!!!!
