Like the title says, after I log in, it just says contacting account server or whatever and then the 2 spins around for ages until I am forced to crash it. It's the same with BF2 and SF. It never used to be like this, and I have played the game perfectly inbetween installing SF and now. I've done everything I can think of, but whatever I do, I just am forced to Ctrl Alt Delete it away (and sometimes it won't let me and I have to do a full system reboot.) Any suggestions? I was considering contacting the official technical support before I remembered they're full of shit. Thanks.
Just tried to play a game of BF2 myself, and i have the same problem, does this have any thing to do with the new patch, i havent played since i installed the patch.
good to see i'm not the only one thats having this problem. dont think its the patch tho, i played yesterday and had no probs. today i cant even check my stats on any of the stat sites i known of.
I think gamespy just S*cks their server is overloaded :P
I had this problem for a while and the way I fixed it was by starting the game from the main folder. Now its doing it again. I did it a clean reinstall and nothing. I'm repatching now to see if that has anything to do with it.
It'll be Gamespy then. *******wankers.

me too what is up with that.
well been looking around, alot of people have the same prob, EA is working on it... hearing things like it can take all weekend!!!
And to thinkk we pay EA money for this kind of shit
It's just like Steam, half the bloody time you can't play because their verification servers are down!
Except at least this doesn't offer you a list of games you can play sorted by those you own and don't own.
