To activate the battlerecorder, open the console with the tide key "`" and type "demo.recorddemo (name of you choice)" To stop recording "demo.stoprecording"

It works in COOP, he means that you can't type that into a multiplayer server and turn on their battlerecorder. That's the Admin's job. But you can run it in COOP mode.

Assuming that you used unmodded BF2 to do this, go to: C:\Program Files\EA Games\Battlefield 2\mods\bf2\Demos

Then move or copy the files with the same name as your recorded file to: C:\Documents and Settings\(your user name here)\My Documents\Battlefield 2\Profiles\Default\demos

Then start the game go to community then there should be a list of of the recorded files you have. Select the one you want to play, and press play.

Oh, and only use fraps if you want to be able to see exactly what your soldier sees in-game (including the HUD.) Or, you can use Fraps to record what you want from the battlerecorder file.
