I have been having troubles with connections on BF2. 9/10 times when I try to connect to a server it will load completely, the "Join" button will appear, and then it kicks me with a message saying "Your Connection to the server has been lost." I also noticed when clicking on a server name, the ping will be around 350 or so, but if I click on another server and then click back (refresh) the ping will decrease dramatically. The problem is not my internet, I have not had ANY problem with my internet as of late. I can download, play other games, and do all that jazz fine, so the problem must be with BF2. Any help will most certainly be appreciated, thanks.

Same problem with me. I heard it's because you have to open a bunch of ports.

Re-install it and repatch it.

Having the same problems, don't know what it is, tried many different solutions listed around the web. It used to work about a week ago and now it isn't. Any ideas?

Really? I am sure that there is a more simple solution.

If anyone finds anything that fixes your problem then post it here as hopefully it may fix ours.

Well, try what I said above and if that doesn't fix it, start sorting out the different things that could be causing it to malfunction (i.e. the router, modem, firewall, Windows firewall, anti-virus, etc.). And if that doesn't help, contact EA and see what they say.

I think it might be at their end and with the issue of turning down your graphics setting, that helped a little. People with lower graphics settings get less problems as it seems though they still get them.

It's weird though. I play with maxed out graphics on BF2 and I play with them maxed out on the demo. I never lose connection on the demo but I do on BF2. I'll try a re-installation. I also have all the necessary ports open. I'll tell you how it goes Robert.
