I have had a browse and cant find anything to help me so far! if anyone could please tell me why my BF2 crashes.... I just bought a brand new computer the specs are in my sig below! what happens is: All with latest drivers!

I installed BF2 then BF2 SF then did patch then loaded BF2pro ladder v1.0A then did patch again.

i move all my desktop icons to where i want them on the desktop and then run BF2.... it shows that first BF2 screen then goes black flashes desktop for half a second then black again you see the blue screen of death here for 1 mill second and computer does a restart.... so it doesnt work!

i checked the error log and it says: Error code 100000d1, parameter1 b7ac3dc6, parameter2 00000002, parameter3 00000008, parameter4 67ac3dc6

i ran this thru google and it says clean out you tower and make sure its all clean inside where the ram is and all connects. Its brand NEW and very clean WTF? i removed the RAm and used my old RAM in it same problem... New RAM works fine in old mobo....

Does anyone have any ideas.. I have tried a million and 1 things from different forums and no luck as yet!

Please help! grin.gif

Seeing as you have a Nvidia GFX card that isn't the problem, do you have administrator rights on your account, right click and run the game as an admin because it clearly states in the game's manual and in system requirements that you need to have administrator rights.

Well I am the only one using my computer too, but Windows can be retarded at times, you have to run it as an admistrator or something like for XP because it wouldn't work until I did that even when I was the only PC user.

Hey guys,

I have the same motherboard p5kpl-cm, running 4x Q6600, 4G ram. Had a 8500GT, now have a ATI 3870, with the same results of a BSOD.

Disabling all unnecessary processes in Windows Task Manager (alt-cntr-tab), logged on as admin, the game gets to letting me choose a server, and as it initializes graphics/shadows, it crashes to the blue error screen. Having googled the codes, it refers to uninstalled/new hardware - which is a load of @#$%.

But as we know, BSOD's can be caused by just about anything, not necessarily directly by what the code may state.

I've tried to resolve this issue with EA technicians, conversing everyday for a month. They gave up.

The game runs perfectly in offline mode. I've also given up :(. And now i'm devastated with BC2 out...
