just wondering, i use the left shift key to crouch in game, i use it alot. but i think theres some sort of bug that won't let me use the left shift key for crouch, or well anything. when i change everything to my custom controls it still says there is a duplicate key. when in fact i have went through every single catagory ie common land aircraft hele and boat, and changed the shift key out. have pushed apply after each change tryed everything?

Open up your controls.con file. Remove all references to LeftCtrl key to unassign it (i think there are about 5-6 references), and either change it directly to LeftShift from the file, or go back in-game and reassign it then

It's not a bug, this issue has been dealt with previously many times. There are a number of keys that the devs have assigned to functions that are not meant to be changed by the player, like left shift for sprint, left alt and a few others, it's not a bug, IT'S MEANT TO BE LIKE THAT! A bug is an error in the code, so therefore tihis is not a bug.

If you go into the controls.con file as hydraSlav suggested you can see quite clearly what these unavailable keys have been assigned to, you can then delete or change the assignment to whatever you want, but then don't be surprised if some other function stops working!

Oh yes, watch your language British_Marine.
